THE ORGANIZATION:

    Transformative Practices is a collaboration of experienced facilitators offering workshops, retreats, training, coaching and facilitation. The facilitators provide consultation and program development that are tailored to the needs of the individual or group and designed to transform the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions of life.

    Leadership: 

    LORA MATZ, MS., LICSW
    Lora has been a leader in the field of Integrative Medicine for many years. She is a psychotherapist, lecturer, and writer who works extensively throughout the country in the area of Mind-Body Medicine and Transpersonal Development. Lora worked in Washington, DC as the Associate Director & Clinical Director of the Center for Mind-Body Medicine with Dr. James Gordon, Chairman of the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. She continues to work as a senior faculty member for the Center’s Professional Training Programs. Lora is skilled in curriculum and program development, including program development for the Greater Twin Cities United Way, the University of Minnesota’s Center for Spirituality and Healing, Health Coaching Program, Sunstone Cancer Retreats, Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN, the Kids Resiliencey Education Program and others.  In addition to working in the Twin Cities, Lora travels throughout the country as a consultant and educator conducting trainings. Lora also has extensive experience in the area of death and dying and has served as a consultant to hospice in advancing integrative practices. Lora teaches and works with archetype, myth, and symbol as a bridge to personal and collective spiritual transformation. She has co-led a pilgrimage to France and Scotland with colleague, Lyndall Johnson of Aslan Institute.


    MICHELE OKPOSO, RPH

    Michele has over 20 years experience inspiring and leading groups and individuals in continued development of their human potential. She is a graduate of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota, and the Center for Mind Body Medicine's Professional and Advanced Training Programs. Micheles’s expertise in workplace enhancement has been recently utilized as a successful regional operations manager in a corporate healthcare company and as a small business consultant. She routinely conducts mind-body skills trainings, groups and retreats. Her healing practice includes techniques from Reiki, Holographic Memory Resolution and Therapeutic Touch. She is also an ordained minister and a spiritual director. Combining her varied skills and experiences, she assists in the discovery of deeper awareness and well being through each unique experience created with her clients.
